Third annual Downtown Block Party held in Eau Claire

Eau Claire (WQOW) –  The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire took over the streets of downtown on Sunday for an event full of fun and learning new things.

The third annual Downtown Block Party was a chance for families to play and educate themselves on different topics.

The museum hosted live music, art projects, science experiments, fire trucks, police cars and plenty of ice cream and snacks.

Marketing director for the museum, Amie Winters, said that the free event was a great way for the museum to share its mission with the community.

“If families can come together at an event like this where they get to play, they get to learn at the same time, and connect together, that’s a win-win-win for us,” Winters said.

Winters said that the museum was able to make the event bigger and better this year through its sponsors, and she hopes to continue the event for years to come.
