How you can get free custard while helping students in need

Eau Claire (WQOW) – There is a good reason to treat your sweet tooth and help our youngest citizens get ready to go back to school.

For the next two weeks, the Culver’s restaurants on Bracket Avenue and Golf Road are hosting a “stuff the bus” campaign.

Here’s how it works: Bring in three school supplies to be donated to the Eau Claire School District. Then, you get a free mini concrete mixer.

After seeing a large amount of donations the first year, they hope to continue that success in year two.

“Well, custard is yummy. It’s just an added bonus, I think,” said Culver’s Office Manager Chelsea Paul. “Hopefully it will drive the donations a little bit more. Who doesn’t love some fresh frozen custard on a hot summer day like today?”

The campaign started Monday and runs through August 18.
