9th OWI: St. Croix County man faces more than decade behind bars

Jackson County (WQOW) – A Roberts man faces more than a decade behind bars after he was charged with his 9th OWI.

Mark Ramquist was charged in Jackson County on Tuesday.

Police were called by Black River Falls Burger King employees on the Fourth of July who said Ramquist went through the drive-thru and appeared to be drunk. They said his passenger blew into the ignition interlock device to get the car started.

Police said Ramquist failed several field sobriety tests and refused to do the breathalyzer test.

He was then arrested.

His first OWI was in 1990.

He returns to court on Monday.
