Eau Claire man arrested for 7th OWI

Eau Claire County (WQOW) – An Eau Claire man was arrested on Monday night for allegedly driving drunk for the 7th time.

According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to London Road in the town of Washington for a man passed out behind the wheel around 9:36 Monday night.

When deputies got there, they said Randy Promer, 47, was driving on London Road. They said he drove into a parking lot, and hit a curb as he came to a stop.

Deputies said Promer was driving intoxicated and arrested for operating under the influence.

Tuesday he was charged with operating while intoxicated as well as three drug charges. He is free on a $2,500 signature bond. He returns to court in two weeks.
