Chippewa County (WQOW) – A Chippewa Falls woman accused of attacking and sexually assaulting another woman at a home in Lake Hallie will serve time behind bars.

The victim told police Elizabeth Burns became upset and started throwing things and breaking glass.

The victim said Burns then attacked and sexually assaulted her.

As part of a plea deal, Burns pleaded no contest to battery and criminal damage to property in exchange for the sexual assault charges being dropped.

Judge Steven Gibbs sentenced her to 120 days in jail with work release followed by 18 months of probation.
