Missing Eleva truck driver found safe at home

Brookside, Ala. (WQOW) – A truck driver from Eleva, whose truck was found abandoned in Alabama, is safe.

Brookside, Alabama police said Mitchell Jordan, of Eleva, was scheduled to be in Tupelo, Mississippi on Wednesday morning, but the trucking company was not able to get in touch with him.

Police found his truck running and unoccupied alongside the highway. Police say the truck stopped there around 9 p.m. on June 18.

Police in Alabama say Jordan was found safe in his Wisconsin home on Thursday. They said he quit the trucking company and decided to leave the truck stranded.

Jordan also went missing while trucking for a different company in January of 2018 in Meridian, Mississippi, according to authorities.
