Eau Claire City Council unanimously votes against Roosevelt Ave. roundabout

Eau Claire (WQOW) – The Eau Claire City Council has reversed course on a controversial roundabout on State Street in Eau Claire.

Roundabouts are set to go in at the Hamilton, Lexington and MacArthur intersections, but the Roosevelt roundabout was contingent on the city buying a portion of a few properties.

The council members who led the charge for the roundabout there, led the charge to vote down the measure after getting mostly negative feedback on the plan from residents.

It was voted down unanimously.
