Eau Claire (WQOW)- The 14th season of Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is kicking off in Phoenix Park Thursday.

Around 2,000 people are expected to hear music from artists from the Chippewa Valley.

Michelle Rowekamp, the events and marketing coordinator at Volume One, said there’s three bands performing  every Thursday at Phoenix Park from now through August.

Rowekamp said you can expect to see a lot of dancing and picnics out at the park.

She said this concert series is always a big hit because the community loves supporting local bands.

“It brings the community together and it’s supporting our local musicians,” Rowekamp said. “There’s so much talent in this community and there’s local music all over. It’s early exciting to have only local bands playing in this concert series.”

She said there’s a variety of food trucks for people to grab a quick bite to eat at the concert.

The concert runs until 8:30 on Thursday night.

The concert is free and each Thursday there will be three different bands performing.
