Eau Claire (WQOW) — An organization in Eau Claire, helping renew hope in those who may have lost their way, has started a new chapter.

Hope Gospel Mission held an open house and ribbon cutting Thursday, to celebrate the completion of their Hope Renewal Center For Men (at 2650 Mercantile Drive).

Officials say the larger facility allows for better housing units, more classrooms, dining facilities and community space.

“We are thrilled and blessed to be able to help more people with the opening of this new facility,” said Sandi Polzin, executive director at Hope Gospel Mission. “We want to thank everybody who has supported these efforts and look forward to continued support in helping these precious people struggling with addiction and homelessness.”

Hope Gospel’s next mission is to complete their new women and children’s center, which will be across Clairemont Avenue from the men’s center. Officials say they’d like to have it open by this fall.
