Chetek man charged after allegedly assaulting woman on the side of the road

Barron County (WQOW) — A Chetek man has been charged in Barron County with four felonies, including 2nd degree sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim said she had been out drinking and was getting a ride home from Cazz Johnson. She said he pulled over to the side of the road to urinate and when he came back to the truck, she said he pulled off her pants and sexually assaulted her.

The victim said she was able to kick him out of the truck and drive to a home down the road to get help. Police said they found Johnson and the victim’s clothing on the side of the road.

Johnson is being held on $5,000 cash bond and returns to court next week. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of more than 60 years in prison.
