Menomonie man gets probation in child sexual assault case

Dunn County (WQOW) – A Menomonie man who pleaded guilty in a child sexual assault case was sentenced in Dunn County on Tuesday.

The girl, 4, told her mom that Chase Johnson forced her to perform oral sex in February 2018.

When interviewed by police, Johnson admitted to being a sex addict.

In November, he pleaded guilty to one count of causing mental harm to a child in exchange for the other charges being dismissed.

Tuesday, Judge James Peterson sentenced Johnson to seven years and six months of probation and time already served in jail awaiting his sentence. He is also ordered not to have unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.
