Altoona (WQOW) – Summer is coming and Eau Claire County Parks and Forest Department isn’t sweating water levels at Lake Altoona.

County officials have determined all the ice has melted and the lake is ready for the water level to be raised.

Officials said they’ll be controlling the dam to get the levels up and hope a little rain will help in the effort.

They expect the lake to be at the normal summer elevation in a couple of days.
