Boy thrown from Mall of America balcony showing signs of recovery

(WQOW) – A boy who was thrown from the third floor of the Mall of America is showing “real signs of recovery,” his family says.

An update on the boy’s GoFundMe says he remains in intensive care with a long road ahead.

“Our faith in God, and our Savior Jesus, is strong and we are gaining more reason for optimism day by day,” says the GoFundMe post.

As of 2:20 p.m. Friday, $890,549 has been raised by 25,278 people.

The man accused of throwing the boy from the balcony, Emmanuel Deshawn Aranda, 24, is charged with attempted murder and being held on a $2 million bail.
