Osseo (WQOW) – Meanwhile, education and the gas tax were among the topics discussed at a listening session in Osseo on Thursday.
Republican Representative Jesse James and Senator Kathy Bernier held the event.
Osseo resident Jim Cialdini was at the listening session and had some questions about the financial status of students in college.
“Student loan debt and what that’s doing to housing and lack of ability to afford a family when you are that much in debt after college, and wanted to understand better how universities are holding down their costs,” Cialdini said.
James said it is important for students to understand how much money they’re borrowing and only take what they need. He also said students should also look at trade schools rather than four-year universities as Wisconsin deals with a skilled worker shortage.
