Eau Claire (WQOW) – After being voted in earlier this month, the newest members of the Eau Claire City Council have officially been sworn in.

Twelve candidates ran for five at-large seats on the board.

Incumbents Kate Beaton and Catherine Emmanuelle were each elected to another term on the board.

Former city council member David Klinkhammer also won.

Two newcomers were added to the council – Laura Benjamin and John Lor.

This is the first time the council has been at capacity since former president Kerry Kincaid resigned last June.

Terry Weld was elected to serve out the remainder of Kincaid’s term.

Tuesday, the council voted on the next vice president with Catherine Emmanuelle winning over David Klinkhammer 8-3.
