Lake Holcombe voters pass referendum

Lake Holcombe (WQOW) – Voters in Lake Holcombe voted in favor of an $850,000 school referendum on Tuesday.

The question on the ballot asked whether voters would accept a $850,000 referendum over three years to fund an increase in operating costs.

A $675,000 referendum just expired this year.

The Lake Holcombe School Board said if the referendum had not passed, the district would have dissolved.

The referendum passed with 70 percent of the vote.
