Barron Co. man sentenced for video taping people at tanning salon

Barron County (WQOW) – A Barron County man accused of secretly video taping people at a tanning salon was sentenced Friday.

Randy Schamberger, from Cumberland, was charged with nine felonies including invading privacy and capturing an intimate representation.

A customer called police after finding a spy cam in a tanning booth last April. Police found 67 images on the camera of people either nude or partially nude.

Schamberger admitted to setting up the camera when interviewed by police..

Friday, Judge James Babler sentenced Schamberger to one year in jail, with Huber privileges, followed by three years of probation. He’s also ordered to undergo sex offender treatment.
