Polk County man pleads guilty in sexual assault cases, faces deportation

Polk County (WQOW) – A Polk County man will spend time behind bars after being charged in a pair of child sexual assault cases.

Prosecutors say Eduardo Jaquez assaulted two young girls.

He was charged this past summer for an incident in June and in January. Charges were filed after a victim came forward about an assault in 2012.

Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to a modified count of false imprisonment in exchange for the other charges being dismissed.

Judge Jeffrey Anderson sentenced Jaquez to three years in jail, followed by three years of probation.

As News 18 reported, Jaquez was in ICE custody earlier this year. The court ruled if he’s found not to be a citizen, he faces deportation.
