Trempealeau County (WQOW) – The Red Cross has opened a shelter for people displaced by flooding in Arcadia, as more than a dozen people are already without a place to stay.

Red Cross officials said the Holy Family Catholic Church in Arcadia should be prepared as a shelter by 7 Wednesday night. They plan to have food, comfort, and cots to sleep on.

They’re expecting at least 16 people after  a nearby apartment building was impacted by rising waters Wednesday.
