Eau Claire (WQOW) – More than 100 local families are without child care for their kids.

Water has been seeping through the walls of Lil Dudes-N-Divas day care’s new building. Owner Rachel Budik said they started seeing minor leaks around windowsills and door frames earlier in the week, but when water started flowing through the floors, she called the professionals.

Now families are being forced to search for last-minute child care. Budik said they’re doing everything they can to help while the center is down. “All of our teachers have provide[d] us with their information and families are reaching out to us, we’re able to provide them that contact information,” said Budik. “We’re kind of working with the families, working together with our staff as a group, making sure that everyone who has put in a request is covered.”

Budik said it will be about two to three months before they’re back up and running in their new building, and they’re looking for a temporary location until the repairs are done.
