Eau Claire County (WQOW) – The flooding closed some roads Tuesday night, and they’ll likely close again Wednesday night.

Thanks to warmer temperatures and rain, Eau Claire County Highway Commissioner Jon Johnson is closely watching the roads most susceptible to flooding. He said crews have been out moving snow to allow water to flow off the streets.

“Starting next week we’re going to have our usual road closures in place on Highway H, QQ by County L,” said Johnson. “Those areas where we may see, on Highway 85 as well, some of the high water issues from the last couple of years.”

Johnson said many other local roads are likely to flood. He said if you see a street covered in water, you should call the county highway department or sheriff’s office.
