WAUSAU (WAOW) — A 45-year-old Wausau man was arrested for his 7th OWI after his car was found crashed into a snowbank and claimed Ryan Reynolds was the driver, according to Marathon County court records.

A crash near Curling Center Way was reported Thursday night around 8:30 p.m. The caller identified the driver and told authorities he walked away from the crashed car.

An officer found a man matching the description, who was identified as Brandon Ingram, and his “speech was slurred and he was stumbling,” according to court documents.

Ingram initially admitted he was drinking and was drunk, but denied driving and said it was ‘Ryan Reynolds,’ police said.

Ingram failed a series of impairment tests and blew a .163 before being arrested on suspicion of his 7th OWI, according to court records.

He’s facing up to 12.5 years in prison if convicted.

Ingram was ordered to a $3,500 bond. He’s due back in court next week.
