State Patrol: Crash scene cleared following pile-up on I-94

Eau Claire (WQOW) – The scene involving a pile-up of 40 vehicles on 1-94 has been cleared.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, traffic is flowing both ways on I-94. Officials are still recommending drivers use caution as the snow creates slippery road conditions.

The crashes remain under investigation.

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Dozens of vehicles came to a standstill and several people are injured after a multi-vehicle pile-up on I-94 Sunday afternoon.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happen on both sides of I-94, eastbound and westbound, at mile marker 85. Officials said 40 vehicles are involved in the crash, including seven semis and 33 automobiles. Officials also said the pile-up includes seven injuries, one person in critical condition.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, all traffic is being rerouted from the location:

I-94 eastbound traffic is being rerouted at mile marker 81 eastbound Foster exit to Highway 53. I-94
westbound traffic is being rerouted at mile marker 88 westbound Osseo to Highway 53.

Motorists are being asked to avoid this area. Officials said take extreme caution as the snow creates slippery road conditions.

The crashes are under investigation.

Don't go West/North Bound I94 between Osseo, WI and Foster, WI!
