Chippewa County (WQOW) – The man charged in a Rusk County murder was in Chippewa County Court for charges of threatening the man he’s accused of later shooting.

Police say Preston Kraft shot a gun into the air and threatened to kill Robert Pettit at a home in the town of Ruby. That’s in Chippewa County. Twenty one days later, Kraft allegedly killed Pettit at a home near Conrath. That is in Rusk County.
