Bloomer man faces 50 years in prison after pleading no contest to possessing child porn

Chippewa County (WQOW) –  A Bloomer man pleaded no contest to possessing child pornography in Chippewa County Court Thursday.

Timothy Lauer entered the plea in two of the 10 counts against him.

According to the criminal complaint, a special agent with the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation seized a tablet and a thumb drive from Lauer’s home with child porn involving girls as young as six.

Based on the charges, Lauer is facing up to 50 years in prison. He’ll be sentenced in March.
