Cornell man found guilty of sexual assault after raping teen, threatening to kill someone

Chippewa County (WQOW) – A Cornell man charged with sexually assaulting a girl and threatening her was found guilty on Friday.

A jury found Tomas Hoyle guilty on four counts of 2nd degree sexual assault.

According to prosecutors, Hoyle gave a 15-year-old intoxicated girl a ride home. He then pulled over near Cadott and raped her.

The girl told police that Hoyle said, “If I end up in jail, someone’s going to end up dead.”

He will be sentenced in March.
