Mail carriers extra busy Thursday after day off yesterday in honor of George H.W. Bush

Eau Claire (WQOW) – The United States Postal Service is working double time to deliver mail Thursday after Wednesday’s deliveries were put on hold in honor of former President George H.W. Bush.

News 18 spoke with USPS Thursday morning and they said they are extremely busy as they hurry to deliver Wednesday’s batch of mail and Thursday’s in order to get your packages to their destination in time for Christmas.

USPS recommends all retail ground shipping orders sent by December 14, first class and priority mail by December 20 and priority mail express by December 22. We have more information in the story below.
