2 unloaded guns found in locker at Durand school

Durand (WQOW) – A student in the Durand-Arkansaw School District has been referred to Pepin County Human Services after bringing two guns to school.

According to the Durand Police Department, a student told the principal of the Durand Middle/High School that another student had guns on school property.

A search of the student’s locker turned up two unloaded guns.

The student was detained and questioned.

According to police the student had no intent to cause harm at the school and did not have any ammunition.
