Eau Claire (WQOW) – The holiday season is a special time of year to spend with loved ones, and sometimes the holidays are used to reminisce about them.

That is what happened Sunday evening at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital at their annual Love-Light Christmas Tree ceremony.

White lights on the tree memorialize adults who’ve died. Blue lights are for children who’ve died. Red or green lights honor a living relative, or friend, and gold lights honor veterans, living or dead.

Donna Lampman said she has been coming to light bulbs for loved ones for 11 years.

“Family is everything,” said Lampman. “When you need them the most they are always by your side, and this is a way to honor them and remember them at this special time of year. So we come to the ceremony to give our support and our love.”

This year marks 33 years of the Love-Light ceremony.
