Altoona (WQOW) – A local woman hit a big birthday on Tuesday.

Surrounded by family and friends, Emma Perry celebrated her 103rd birthday in Altoona.

The Barron native celebrated by singing songs with the group, and of course enjoying cake.

She is still fluent in two languages and a big Brewers fan, even though she said her favorite sport is golf because she enjoys the scenery.

When speaking about her favorite memories, she simply responded with the following.

“It’s just unbelievable. I’ve seen a lot, read a lot and learned a lot, but only with an eighth grade education. I’ve had other education, but not behind the barn like they say!”

News 18 wishes Emma a happy 103rd birthday!

Weather Outlook: Gloomy weather returns
