Barron County man sentenced after standoff, threatening to kill girlfriend

Barron County (WQOW) – A Barron County man charged after a standoff with police in Barron County was sentenced.

According to police, Darin Jenkins’ girlfriend told police he had a gun and was threatening to kill her. She was able to get out of her Rice Lake trailer and Jenkins was arrested after a lengthy standoff.

Darin Jenkins will spend 60 days in jail and is ordered to stay absolutely sober during three years of probation.
