Eau Claire (WQOW) — One day before voters hit the polls, Scott Walker hit the pavement – making campaign stops across the state, including Eau Claire.
Walker spoke to workers at McDonough Manufacturing Co. in Eau Claire about his track record creating jobs and his plans if elected to a third term. The campaign event also served as his closing argument for voters in the Chippewa Valley, before they cast their ballots on Tuesday.
“We’re headed in the right direction. More people are working than ever before, our schools are some of the best in the country, our property taxes are lower than when we first started. We can’t afford to turn back now. Wisconsin is working,” Walker told News 18.
The latest Marquette Law School poll has Walker in a virtual tie with Democratic challenger Tony Evers.
