Stanley man sentenced to prison following fatal car crash

Clark County (WQOW) – The Stanley man accused of driving drunk in a fatal Clark County crash will serve time in prison.

Jacob Person, 32, was behind the wheel in October of last year when his SUV slammed into a tractor near Withee. His passenger, Tasha Ley, was killed.

On Monday in Clark County Court, Person pleaded guilty to a lesser felony charge in exchange for a count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle being dropped.

Person was sentenced to three years in prison. He’ll get credit for the 382 days he’s already served.

Once he is released, he will serve three years of extended supervision.
