Crisis response teams available at 2 Chippewa Falls schools Sunday afternoon

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) – The Chippewa Falls School District has released information for the first time since three students were killed picking up trash on Saturday.

According to a press release from the district, crisis response teams will be available Sunday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at both Southview and Halmstad Elementary Schools for students, staff and families.

The school district also confirmed the students involved were from two elementary schools – Halmstad and Southview.

Here is a note sent to parents from Dr. Eliopoulos on Saturday:

There is a press conference at 4:15 p.m. at the Korger Chestnut Building. News 18 will be there and have it live on WQOW.com and on Facebook.

There is also a candlelight vigil Sunday evening at 6 at Halmstad Elementary.
