UPDATE: Highway 53 cleared after 2 Friday afternoon crashes

UPDATE: Another crash has closed the left lane of Highway 53 near the River Prairie exit.

According to the DOT, the left northbound lane is closed. The estimated duration is listed as two hours by the DOT.


UPDATE: According to the Wisconsin DOT, the crash has been cleared and Highway 53 has reopened to traffic.


(WQOW) – A crash has traffic slowed at the Chippewa and Eau Claire County lines.

Police have closed the on ramps to 53 at Clairemont and North Crossing for the time being while the crash is cleaned up.

According to the DOT, the crash is on 53 northbound at mile marker 92.8
