Eau Claire (WQOW) – A local business has started up its annual toy drive, and employees are asking for you to help those in need.

Menards in Eau Claire is collecting donations for its ‘Toys for Tots’ drive. This is a partnership with the Salvation Army, who gives the gifts to children who otherwise might not get a Christmas gift. Staff told News 18 they started the drive Thursday, but the bins are nearly full, so they expect this to be a successful year.

“It’s just fun to be a part of the community and be a big part of it, and see the smiles on the kids’ faces, and then they send me cards every year afterwards. It’s pretty neat to see,” said Menards General Manager, Kyle Krause.

If you want to donate to ‘Toys for Tots’, you can drop off an unopened toy during regular business hours at any Menards, or you can purchase one in store and drop it in the box. The drive ends December 9.
