2 convicted sex offenders face new charges in Eau Claire County

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Two convicted sex offenders face new charges in Eau Claire for failing to update their addresses with the Department of Corrections.

Nathaniel Hoyt was convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child in 2001.

His whereabouts have been unknown since November 14, 2016.

Before that, he was listed as homeless. An arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Dewayne Brown was convicted of criminal sexual misconduct in Minnesota in 2006 and a slew of other crimes in Eau Claire starting in 2014.

Most recently he’s charged with failing to update his information and escape.

According to court records, he walked away from Huber in May of last year.

Brown was last listed as homeless and is currently in the Eau Claire County Jail.

Friday, a judge set a $7,500 bond.
