Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Rusk County (WQOW) – It’s a sad day for law enforcement across the state, especially in Rusk County.

It was two years ago Monday Deputy Dan Glaze was shot and killed.

In a social media post, Rusk County Sheriff Jeffrey Wallace said the memory is still fresh.

He asks that today, and everyday, we honor Glaze’s family and remember their sacrifice.

Wallace also thanked the community and surrounding law enforcement for their support during the trial of Glaze’s killer Doug Nitek.

Nitek was found guilty of first degree homicide in September. He will be sentenced December 19.
