Eau Claire man accused of breaking multiple bones in girlfriend’s face

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Two felony charges were filed against an Eau Claire man accused of breaking multiple bones in his girlfriend’s face.

Stephen Jones is charged with substantial battery and 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety.

According to the complaint, the incident happened on August 10. The victim told police she blacked out and could not remember what provoked the alleged attack.

Doctors told her she required reconstructive surgery.

Jones is in court on Friday. The charges carry a maximum sentence of more than 20 years in prison.
