Funeral set for James & Denise Closs, couple killed in Barron County

Barron County (WQOW) – Funeral arrangements have been set for James and Denise Closs, the husband and wife shot and killed one week ago in Barron County.

A funeral for the couple will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of the service at the church. A private burial will follow at a later date.

According to an online obituary from Rausch & Steel Funeral Home, James and Denise were married on June 9, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They worked at Jennie-O Turkey Store in Barron for 27 years.

The obituary goes on to say James loved the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers and getting into conversations on the “glory days” of his high school sports career.  Denise loved working with her flowers, feeding her birds, she loved angels and helping everyone, any way she could.
