Barron Co. Sheriff: 800+ tips, still no sign of missing teen

Barron County (WQOW) – Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said his department has received more than 800 tips since Monday.

Those tips are in regards to missing teen Jayme Closs and her parents who were shot to death in the early morning hours of Monday.

Fitzgerald is asking for the public to continue submitting tips at 1-855-744-3879.

Roughly 100 volunteers searched the ditches along Highway 8 looking for evidence on Thursday. As of 4 p.m., nothing of value was found, according to the sheriff.
