Police identify person killed in crash near Arcadia

UPDATE: (WQOW) – Police have now identified the person who was killed in a crash near Arcadia last week.

According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, Bobby Golden, 63, from Independence was killed when she crossed the center line and hit another vehicle. She was pronounced dead on scene.


(WXOW) – One person is dead in a two vehicle crash near Arcadia Monday afternoon.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on State Road 93 just north of County Road A in the Town of Arcadia northeast of Arcadia.

The driver of a red vehicle was headed north, crossed the center line, and hit a southbound vehicle.

The red vehicle’s driver died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle went to Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall with non-life threatening injuries.

Weather is considered a factor in the crash according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Weather Outlook: Active weather pattern returns, bringing multiple rounds of snow

We’ve had a couple of dustings of snow over the past week, including yesterday, but it’s been a full week now since our last big system. Thankfully, we’ve been able to catch up on clearing the snow, and are close to getting back in the swing of things. Just as we settle down, however, we return back to an active weather pattern that will bring several chances for more accumulating snow over the next couple of weeks.
