LATEST: One person in custody, another on the run after weekend shooting in EC

UPDATE: One suspect is in custody, while another is still on the run after a shooting Sunday night in Eau Claire.

According to Eau Claire police, one of the people involved in the shooting,  Robert Thomas, 20, was arrested on Tuesday on a Department of Corrections warrant.

Another suspect, Marcus Wells, 19, is still on the run. He has a felony warrant out for his arrest.

According to police, an initial investigation shows a group of people arrived at a home on the 800 block of Revere Street. An argument began and as people were leaving, someone fired a gun.

Police say “numerous” shots were fired at people outside of the home. A female was injured, but is expected to be OK. No other injuries were reported.

Eau Claire police have released more information about a shooting on the city’s southwest side Sunday evening.

According to police, an initial investigation shows a group of people arrived at a home on the 800 block of Revere Street. An argument began and as people were leaving, someone fired a gun.

Police say “numerous” shots were fired at people outside of the home. A female was injured, but is expected to be OK. No other injuries were reported.

When police arrived at Oak Ridge Village Mobile Home Park on Revere Street, the suspects were already gone.

Eau Claire (WQOW) – According to Eau Claire police, there is an “active investigation” into a shooting that occurred on Eau Claire’s southwest side Sunday night around 8:20.

According to Eau Claire police, they responded to a call of shots fired at the Oak Ridge Village Mobile Home Park on Revere Street. That is in the Shawtown neighborhood.

Police say it is a targeted incident and the public is not in any danger.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Eau Claire (WQOW) – There is a police presence on Eau Claire southwest side on Revere Street. That is near the Oak Ridge Village Mobile Home Park, just east of Interstate 94.

A News 18 reporter on scene said there is a K-9 unit there as well.

Police have not said what is going on.

A resident in the area told News 18 he heard 4-5 “pops” and he said he knew they were gunshots.
