2 injured in Pierce County chain-reaction motorcycle crash

Pierce County (WQOW) – One motorcycle crash caused another on a Pierce County highway over the weekend.

It started just before 2 p.m. Saturday.

Sheriff Nancy Hove said deputies were called to Highway 35 near 125th Avenue in the township of Isabelle for a motorcycle crash.

Officials said Joseph Fisher, 55, from Andover MN was riding when his 1985 motorcycle became disabled and he lost control, blocking both lanes of traffic.

Fisher was flown to the hospital. There is no word on his injuries.

Authorities said the traffic backup from his crash caused a second motorcycle crash just to the north of the first crash.

The sheriff’s office said Gregory Petschauer, 68, went over a hill and found the stopped traffic. He rode into the ditch to avoid hitting other cars. No word on his condition either.
