Buffalo County stabbing suspect taken into custody

Buffalo County (WQOW) – A Buffalo County man is expected to survive after police said he was stabbed at his home in rural Nelson Thursday morning.

According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, a 65-year-old man was stabbed by Kenneth Teel around 8 a.m. The sheriff said he then ran from the home, slashing the man’s tires before he left.

Teel was found by deputies walking in the middle of Highway 25 with the knife still in his hand.

The victim was transferred to an Eau Claire hospital but is expected to be OK.

Teel hasn’t been formally charged yet.
