New Eau Claire Fleet Farm opens Thursday

Eau Claire (WQOW) — The Fleet Farm store off Highway 93 is ready for customers, and News 18 got a special sneak peak Wednesday.

Construction began on the new building last fall, and now the store is ready for business, starting Thursday morning.

Inside the 200,000+ square-foot store, customers will find a wide-variety of departments, from auto and tires to camping and hunting. Fleet Farm CEO, Derick Prelle, told News 18 he chose Eau Claire for a new store because of shared values with the community.

“Our company was built on 60 years of tradition here in Wisconsin. We were founded here, our first store was in Wisconsin, and it’s important we respect the hard-working families here in Wisconsin,” Prelle said. “That’s what Fleet Farm’s always been about, and I think folks will come to the store and see that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Fleet Farm will be having its grand opening on Saturday, however the store will be open for business Thursday morning at 7 a.m.
