Cadott man accused of stealing gas 16 times from EC Kwik Trips

Cadott (WQOW) – A Cadott man is accused of more than one dozen gas skips at local Kwik Trips.

Andrew Sovereign is the alleged serial gas skipper. According to charges filed Monday, Sovereign would gas up his truck at Eau Claire area Kwik Trips, then drive off without paying.

Police said it happened 16 times between last November and last month.

They also said he had altered his license plate, apparently to avoid getting caught.

Kwik Trip puts its losses at more than $1,200. The charges carry up to 12 years in prison.
