Long lines don’t deter people from voting in Eau Claire County

Eau Claire County (WQOW)- More voters are eager to have their voices heard.

Nick Butler from the town of Washington said he never misses an election.

Butler said he always makes it a point to bring his kids along with so they can experience what it’s like to vote.

He’s not surprised turnout is expected to be higher for this primary, because there are a lot of new faces running.

"There’s a lot of people in the left and center that are energized maybe for some change. There’s more women on the ballot I think this year then in other years so I think people are excited about that," Butler said.
