Man behind costly burglaries gets 7.5 years behind bars

UPDATE:
Eau Claire County (WQOW) – The suspect in a couple of costly area burglaries will spend 7 1/2 years behind bars.

Josh Frami from Chetek will serve that sentence at the same time he’s doing six years for a string of Chippewa County burglaries.

Eau Claire County Judge Sarah Harless sentenced Frami this week for stealing a $9,000 wood chipper from Earthbound Environmental in 2016, and more than $6,000 in guns, computers and tools in a 2015 burglary of a home on Elk Creek Road.

He said he traded some of the items for meth.


Eau Claire County (WQOW) – A Chetek man was charged Thursday with stealing thousands of dollars worth of items in two Eau Claire County burglaries.

Josh Frami is accused of stealing a $9,000 wood chipper from Earthbound Environmental in 2016. He told police he traded it for some meth and cash.

He’s also charged with stealing more than $6,000 worth of guns, computers and tools in a 2015 burglary of a home on Elk Creek Road.

Frami is currently serving a six-year sentence for a rash of Chippewa County burglaries.

He’s charged in a $150,000 theft case in Barron County.
