Republican Gae Magnafici wins 28th Assembly

(WQOW) – The race for Wisconsin’s 28th Assembly District featured two newcomers, as the incumbent was not seeking reelection.

The district is made up of Polk and St. Croix Counties.

Republican Gae Magnafici defeated Democratic challenger Kim Butler.

Magnafici is a small business owner and former RN. She said she wants to use her 25 years of working in health care to help Wisconsin be a leader in health care legislation.
